Narrative Free Verse by Brogan Archer
From late night reading to my stress exceeding,
I gave my blood, sweat, and tears for this.
I stayed sacrificing and self-agonizing,
Like I’d be able to sigh of bliss.
The exams weren’t easy, I lingered queasy,
My advisors don’t know how to aid.
I looked around in a graduation gown,
Knowing everything I ever did was weighed.
Cause there were certificates held with ambition unparalleled,
Everything you lose is a step you take.
So make the effort you need to,
Run until you break through.
You’ve got no reason to be afraid.
